The Nile Association of Ontario is a non-profit organization, established to promote the social coherence of the Egyptian community and to provide assistance, help, and guidance to new immigrants. It was founded in 1988 by:

THE ORGANIZATION

The affairs of the corporation are managed by a board of seven directors. Elections are held every year during the general meeting to fill vacant positions. Most of the activities of the Association are carried out by operating committees. The committees are delegated by the Board of Directors to organize and carry out activities in specific areas of interest to the membership of the Nile Association and in accordance to policies and guidelines set by the constitution and the Board of Directors.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE
Organize social functions such as the annual party, new year's party, and other social events.

CULTURE COMMITTEE
To promote and teach the Egyptian culture to our younger and older members alike, and promote our heritage through newsletters, exhibitions, seminars, etc.

SPORTS COMMITTEE
Organize sports related activities for members, including sports day activities and outdoor sports activities in the summer.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
To promote the Nile association locally, nationally, and in Egypt, Increase membership and welcome new members as well as deal with membership issues.

BUSINESS COMMITTEE
To promote business within the Egyptian community and create a network of Egyptian business people as well as responsible for fund raising events/activities.

YOUTH COMMITTEE
Organize activities for the youth of the Nile Association.
